Adopt-a-Family: ChristianaCare caregivers can receive help or become a sponsor!

Are you a ChristianaCare caregiver?

Will it be financially challenging to purchase holiday gifts for your children this year?

If so, Adopt-a-Family can help. And if you are in a position to give, you can participate as a sponsor!

What is Adopt-a-Family?

Adopt-a-Family is a holiday gift program coordinated by me, Manoj Philip, the Stand By Me financial coach at ChristianaCare. The program supports ChristianaCare caregivers who need extra help providing holiday gifts for their children, and it also gives other caregivers the opportunity to sponsor a family.

How it works

You will complete an application form on my website and meet with me for a Zoom consultation. After that, I will do my best to match you with a sponsor. Most sponsors are fellow ChristianaCare caregivers or departments within our health system. In some cases, a healthcare professional outside ChristianaCare who I know personally may choose to sponsor a family.

If you are matched, you will create an Amazon Holiday Gift List for each child. Your sponsor will purchase what they are able to from your list, and Amazon will ship the gifts directly to your home.
