Is this program really free?
It sure is! There's absolutely no cost to you. It's 100% free.
If it's free, how good can it be?
This is a great service and the word has spread, which is why I usually have a waiting list. My clients really love this program and its many benefits.
Is this confidential?
Yes. Everything we discuss is 100% confidential and private. Stand By Me is managed independently of CCHS. We'll meet in a private CCHS conference room and nothing will ever be shared with Human Resources, your manager(s), colleagues, etc. No one at CCHS will know you've met with me. (COVID Update: In-Person Consultations are no longer available.)
I don't live in Delaware. Can I still participate?
Of course you can! While this is a Delaware-based program, we have many customers who live in other states, but work or attend school in Delaware. Even if you work at one of the ChristianaCare affiliates in Pennsylvania, you can still come to one of the Delaware hospital campuses for coaching. (COVID Update: In-Person Consultations are no longer available.)
Am I allowed to meet you during my shift?
Possibly. You'll have to speak to your manager about it. Many clients meet me during their normal working hours, while others meet me before or after.
Why don't I see any available appointments for the rest of the year?
I only show available appointments for this week and next week. This is to prevent people from scheduling appointments far in advance and then cancelling them at the last minute (which almost always happens). And when people cancel at the last minute, I'm usually unable to find someone else to take their spots. So this prevents other people from being helped and it also affects my productivity. I find that more people keep their appointments when they schedule them less than two weeks in advance.
Can my spouse/partner/child attend?
Absolutely! They're more than welcome to attend.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. There's no contract and we can meet as often as you'd like. In fact, after our initial face-to-face consultation, we can have future discussions over the phone or email if that's easier for you. You're welcome to have just one coaching session or a hundred and you can stop at any time. Hundreds of CCHS employees have taken advantage of financial coaching and you can, too! (COVID Update: In-Person Consultations are no longer available.)
